Well, kinda true. But not the Kalani album which is still in a state of flux. While continuing to work on the album, slowly, progress is being made! Yay. I recently had a keyboardist come over, Nullin Hasan, who recorded about 40 tracks that I need to choose from for “Finale” so lots of work to do.
While working and listening to songs Doug and I had considered for the album, I got this idea to release to streaming after updating the songs. Using a computer makes this somewhat easier then using dark magic to resurrect Doug, not that I ever considered that (I did…) (EEK!)
So, this is not the release you’ve been waiting for, just a stop on the road to completion. I hope you enjoy the songs. And soon, Kalani will be completed.

The first tune below is from a song I wrote in the 80’s, did more work on it in San Jose, used it to audition for what would eventually become “Gateway” with Doug Goodwin. According to Doug he wanted me in the band when I played and sang this on guitar at the bass tryouts.
